Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and deliver prompt, courteous waste removal services to customers. You will ensure the vehicle meets safety standards and complete daily vehicle condition reports.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, follow routes, load refuse, interact with customers professionally, and maintain accurate reports. A valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement and good time management are required.

Qualifications

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls are in proper working order.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along designated routes to service customers and dispose of refuse at the designated facility.
• Operate controls to lift and load refuse, and to operate the packer blade and truck body.
• Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure routes are serviced in a timely and professional manner.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers as required.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and maintain safety standards.
• Complete required route/productivity sheets and reports daily.
