Job summary

Republic Services in Illinois is hiring a Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and deliver prompt, courteous waste removal for customers. You will verify the vehicle meets safety standards, complete daily vehicle condition reports, and follow all company, state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities include pre/post vehicle inspection, route execution, customer interaction, labeling containers, reporting safety issues, and maintaining productivity records.

Qualifications

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.
• Good safety and compliance mindset.
• Able to operate heavy trucks and follow route sheets.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure safety and readiness.
• Safely operate the truck on designated routes and service customers as identified on the route sheet.
• Read route sheets, follow dispatcher instructions and service each customer.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and report safety issues.
• Complete route productivity sheets and vehicle condition reports daily.
• Adhere to safety policies and participate in company programs.
