Job summary

Republic Services is hiring a route-based driver to safely operate a Class B CDL vehicle on daily routes in Minnesota. You will inspect, operate, and maintain the truck, service customers, and report any safety issues promptly.

Ideal candidates have a CDL with air brakes, strong safety awareness, and customer-focused communication skills to ensure reliable service and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Must hold Class B CDL or higher with air brakes endorsement.
• Demonstrates safe driving practices and daily vehicle inspections.
• Communicates effectively with customers, dispatchers and supervisors.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and work area.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues.
• Safely operate the truck on assigned routes and service customers per dispatch guidance.
• Load/unload refuse and operate controls at disposal sites following safety policies.
• Interact with customers and dispatchers to ensure timely, professional service.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag per procedures.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and adhere to safety standards.
• Complete required productivity reports and stay within department standards.
• Adhere to safety policies and participate in ReSOP program.
