Job summary

Interstate Waste Services is hiring CDL B rear-load garbage truck drivers in Shelton, CT. Early starts at 4am or 5am with no overnights. Expect a weekly schedule Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays and a competitive hourly rate of $25.00 to $32.00.

We offer a full benefits package with paid time off and year-round steady work. Candidates must have 1 year of verifiable CDL driving experience within the last seven years and a valid CDL with airbrake endorsement.

Qualifications

• 1 year of rear-load CDL driving experience within the last 7 years.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with Airbrake Endorsement.
• Excellent safety record and clean MVR.
• Ability to read and speak English to communicate with the public.
• Knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations and traffic laws.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate rear-loading trucks for bin/toter/container pickup.
• Transport materials to disposal, transfer or recycling facilities; may make multiple trips per shift.
• Operate both manual and automatic trucks.
• lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and move up to 100 pounds as part of duties.
