Job summary

Beaudry Oil & Propane is seeking an experienced Service Technician to support propane and fuel equipment service for customers. The role requires strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, safety focus, and a commitment to professional customer service.

Responsibilities include diagnosing, installing, maintaining, and testing equipment; documenting work; and ensuring safe operations while meeting regulatory guidelines. Overtime is available during busy periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CDL Class B with Tanker and HazMat endorsements.
• Clean driving record that meets company/insurance requirements.
• Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role.
• Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent safety mindset and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and overtime availability.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair propane and fuel equipment safely and efficiently.
• Install and service propane and fuel systems and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance to promote safe operation and reliability.
• Complete required system and safety testing.
• Document inspections, installations, repairs, maintenance, and services performed.
• Provide professional customer service and clear communication with customers and coworkers.
• Bill customers accurately and manage payments, parts, and inventory.
• Operate handheld terminal and maintain trip/service records and paperwork.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Report vehicle conditions requiring attention for safe operation.
• Stay current on industry standards, equipment, regulations, and technologies.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
