Lakeshore Recycling Systems, LLC in North Liberty, IA is seeking a CDL B Local Residential Waste Driver to operate a collection truck on a dedicated route. You will provide prompt service, collect residential waste and recyclables, and perform daily vehicle inspections.

Good communication with dispatch and a focus on safety are essential. Base compensation ranges from $27 to $32 per hour with 52-55 hours weekly, overtime after 40 hours, and a strong benefits package including 401(k) with company

Compensation

• $27-$32 per hour with 52-55 average hours weekly
• Overtime pay after 40 hours
• Merit increases annually
• Referral Bonus: $1,500 (after driver is employed for at least 6 months)
• Paid via direct deposit weekly

Home Time, Route, & Schedule

The Residential Driver is responsible for safely operating a collection truck, providing prompt and courteous service to customers, and ensuring the proper collection and disposal of residential waste and recyclables in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Home Daily!
• Schedule: Monday through Friday. Occasional weekends during peak seasons/holidays
• Shift: 6:00am until route complete typically 10 ½ hour shifts
• Dedicated Route: Average 40 miles radius around North Liberty, IA
• Hualing: Waste or recyclable materials
• Level of Touch: Low touch - Hydraulic operated truck

Essential Job Duties

• Operate residential collection truck in a safe and efficient manner.
• Collect waste and recyclables from residential customers on assigned routes.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have at least a CDL B
• Will train drivers with no experience. Prefer drivers with exposure to the manufacturing, waste, or logistics experience
• Air Brake Endorsements
• Must have a valid DOT medical card or obtain prior to hire
• Must not have any DUI’s or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years
• Must not have any license suspensions within the last 2 years
• No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years
• Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
• Must be able to read and speak English well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training
• Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
• Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen
• Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
  • Occasionally required to stand and walk
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Hiring Radius: Drivers must live within 50 miles of North Liberty, IA or be willing to relocate for this position
