COMPENSATION INFORMATION:

Job Summary:

All drivers run daily routes with frequent stops and are required to load packages onto hand trucks and unload product at each stop in the designated order. The candidate will operate successfully in a cross-dock model, picking up a loaded truck from a nightly delivery at the assigned loading dock and returning the empty truck to the lot at the end of the route. May assist with loading trucks, palletizing, and other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
2. Run routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated times.
3. Unload product from trailer using hand or cart, and place in designated storage areas, in all weather conditions.
4. Frequently lift, push, or move products weighing 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds; reach up to 72” to stack/unstack pallets.
5. Verify delivery with customer, obtain signatures, and communicate discrepancies or errors.
6. Report any incomplete deliveries or customer complaints professionally.
7. Properly handle company equipment, perform pre-trip inspections, and adhere to DOT regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or GED.

Experience: At least one year of route delivery experience or relevant driving background; valid Commercial Driver’s License – Class B (Class A preferred); proficient in English.

Skills:

• Operate vehicle in various traffic and weather conditions.
• Meet or exceed productivity and case/error goals.
• Strong customer relations and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of product and inventory control techniques.
• Ability to handle money and perform basic arithmetic.
• Other skills include building loyalty, managing work, adaptability, trust-building, follow-up, and communication.

Other Information:

Frequent lifting of products up to 50 lbs., infrequent lifting to 80 lbs.; ability to climb on/off truck, perform bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and work in confined spaces.
