All drivers run daily routes with frequent stops and are required to load packages onto hand trucks and unload product at each stop on the assigned route in the order designated by the Transportation Department Manager. The candidate will operate successfully in a cross-dock model, picking up a loaded truck from a nightly delivery at the assigned loading dock and returning the empty truck to the lot at the end of the route. Assistance with loading trucks, palletizing products, and other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager may be required.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
- Run routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
- Unload products from trailers using hand or hand carts and place them in designated customer storage areas, including transporting products down ramps, stairs, or docks, in all weather conditions.
- Frequently lift, push, or move products weighing 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds; reach up to 72 inches to stack and unstack pallets; bend and twist during loading and unloading activities.
- Verify deliveries with customers, obtain signatures, and communicate discrepancies or errors to management.
- Report any incomplete deliveries (shorts) to management.
- Handle customer complaints professionally.
- Operate company equipment properly, follow safety rules, and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections as per DOT regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
Education
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Experience
- At least one year of route delivery experience or relevant driving background with a straight truck.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License - Class B (Class A preferred).
- Ability to read and understand English.
- Customer service experience is strongly preferred.

- Frequent lifting of products up to 50 lbs., infrequent lifting to 80 lbs.
