Job summary

Republic Services is hiring a Driver-CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt waste removal services for customers. The role requires ensuring vehicle compliance with safety standards and completing daily vehicle condition reports (VCRs) to address any defects.

Qualifications

• Class B or higher CDL required with air brakes endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues.
• Safely operate heavy truck on assigned route and service customers per route sheet.
• Load refuse and operate compactors per safety policies.
• Interact courteously with customers and coworkers to ensure timely service.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag as required.
• Monitor waste quality and vehicle condition to minimize downtime.
• Complete required reports and maintain productivity standards.
