Job summary

Richards Building Supply Co. in Charlotte, NC is hiring a CDL Class B Driver/Warehouse Associate. Role includes delivering materials, loading/unloading, and providing excellent customer service.

CDL B with Air Brake Endorsement is required; Moffett/flatbed experience is a plus. OT possible, good earning potential, and family-owned culture. The position involves lifting 50–100 lbs regularly, occasional over 100 lbs, and working Monday–Friday with overtime on Saturdays as needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year CDL Class B delivery driving experience required.
• CDL Class B with Air Brake Endorsement.
• Moffett and flatbed operating experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.
• Current DOT medical card.
• Clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Heavy lifting experience.
• Background check and pre-employment DOT drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries include unloading shingles on one and two story homes.
• Load trucks with material for the day’s deliveries per DOT weight limits.
• Secure and inspect loads for accuracy and safety.
• Provide superior customer service at the job site.
• Move materials between receiving and staging areas.
• Support warehouse operations: shipping/receiving.
• Pull orders for walk-in customers.
• Maintain safe driving and workplace practices.
