Job summary

Safety-Kleen in Salt Lake City is seeking a Sales and Service Route Driver Trainee. This role will train to drive a Class B box truck to provide onsite service for parts washer machines, pick up containerized hazardous waste, and sell products/services along a defined route.

The company will pay for you to obtain your CDL. As you train, you will gain hands-on experience in route logistics, customer interactions, and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills.
• Commercial route driving experience or ability to learn driving a route vehicle.
• Proficient in basic computer and math tasks.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Strong problem solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pickups on time.
• Sell additional products and services to existing accounts.
• Prepare and maintain all required documentation and labeling.
• Safely operate Class B box truck in compliance with DOT and company policies.
• Generate and collect leads from customers for new products and services.
• Follow health, safety and environmental guidelines on site.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
