Job Description: Street Sweeper Operator at SCA

Sweeping Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking an experienced Street Sweeper Operator to join our team. The Operator will operate a CDL B vehicle with air brake endorsement, providing prompt service on scheduled routes to clean highways, streets, and construction sites, and perform routine maintenance on equipment.

Responsibilities include:

• Securing supplies and equipment before operations
• Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintaining assigned vehicles
• Ensuring vehicle functionality and reporting issues
• Operating equipment following best practices
• Reporting equipment failures or accidents within 8 hours
• Collaborating with supervisors to improve routes
• Completing logs and maintaining a professional attitude

Requirements:

• Valid Class B Driver's License with air brake endorsement
• Clean driving record and DOT Medical card
• Ability to perform physical tasks and work nights/weekends
• Experience in waste, environmental services, energy, or transportation preferred
• Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs., operate equipment, and work outdoors in all weather conditions
