Job summary

Finetco, a family of lumberyards, is seeking a CDL Class B driver to operate a Moffett truck and transport materials to construction sites around Wareham, MA. This role requires safe driving and DOT compliance.

You will load/unload with the Moffett forklift, perform pre/post-trip inspections, maintain logs, coordinate with site supervisors, and present the company professionally. Lifting up to 80 lbs required.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B or Class A license.
• Proven experience operating a Moffett truck.
• Current DOT medical card.
• Pre-employment drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class B and Moffett truck to transport materials to and from construction sites.
• Load and unload materials using the Moffett forklift, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members to coordinate delivery schedules.
• Secure the load properly to ensure materials reach the job site intact and in good condition
• Report safety issues about each vehicle to the supervisor and maintain the vehicle inspection book
• Maintain DOT log for deliveries over 100 miles
• Ensure that the annual federal inspection of the vehicle is completed
• Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle (interior/exterior)
• Represent the company in a professional manner

About the Role:

The CDL/Class B Driver - Moffett Truck Operator plays a crucial role in the construction industry by ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of materials to various job sites. This position requires operating a Moffett truck, which involves loading and unloading materials with precision and care. The driver will be responsible for maintaining the vehicle and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid CDL Class B or Class A driver's license.
• Proven experience operating a Moffett truck or similar vehicle.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in transportation.
• Current DOT medical card
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the construction/retail industry.
• Hydrulic Delivery License
• Knowledge of local construction sites and routes.
