Position Summary

This is a delivery position operating a 26ft straight truck, responsible for delivering and unloading products across the tri-state area. Overtime, weekends, holidays, and various evening start times are required. During your first month, you will shadow an experienced driver and will not be driving. After 1 month, you will undergo 2-3 months of hands-on training. Upon completing the apprenticeship, you will be recognized as an experienced driver with a pay increase.

Full-Time, located at Bartlett Dairy Queens, Driver - DOT Apprentice

Qualifications

• 21+ years old
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver License with a clean driving record
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Valid non-expired interstate Medical Examiner's Certificate
• Pass pre-employment tests (Drug Screen, Background Check)
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years' local food or beverage delivery experience
• Pallet breakdown and hand cart experience
• Experience in the foodservice industry

MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUTE TO NEWARK, NJ FOR TRAINING!

• Lift, push, or move products weighing 1-60 pounds, up to 100 pounds
• Reach up to 72 inches for stacking/unstacking pallets
• Bend and twist during loading/unloading
• Transport products in various weather conditions
