Job summary

United Rentals in Saint Cloud, MN, is seeking a Driver Small Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) to transport Mobile Storage equipment under 26,001 lbs safely and perform on-site tasks in line with DOT classifications CDL-B.

You will drop off and pick up equipment, prep trucks, perform pre-trip inspections, maintain logs, and uphold safety guidelines at the branch, on the road, or at customer sites. A strong safety mindset and reliable teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with acceptable driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.
• Diligent attention to safety.
• Limited amount of overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers
• Prepare truck, tools, & supplies for scheduled work orders
• Operate heavy equipment such as semi-trucks and trailers (“rollbacks” or “dove tails”) consistent with DOT classification CDL-B
• Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Maintain driver’s logs and complete pre-trip inspections
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need
• Other duties assigned as needed
