Job summary

Clean Earth, now part of Veolia North America, is seeking a CDL Driver to travel along assigned routes, safely packaging and transporting waste per regulations. The role requires maintaining records, following instructions, and working independently with proper training.

A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered, with some overnights and weekend work expected. Employees will handle pre/post-trip checks, route planning, and DOT compliance while delivering high-level customer service at multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old and have a valid CDL Class B license with Hazmat endorsement.
• Able to read, write, and understand English; basic computer use and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Package and transport waste safely following federal, state, and local rules.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate records.
• Load, secure, and unload waste at customer sites and company locations.
• Follow DOT guidelines and maintain vehicle pre-trip/post-trip checks.
• Provide strong customer service and communicate issues to supervisor as needed.

In the CDL Driver role, you will be traveling to locations along an assigned route where you will be responsible for packing, transporting, and properly disposing of waste materials in accordance with our environmentally responsible policies and procedures. This positionrequiresthemaintenance of recordswithaccuracy and attention to detail, the ability to follow instruction,and to work independently onceprovidedproper training.

This position requires up to 3 overnights and some weekend work. You will be provided with a company card to pay for a hotel and given a daily stipend to cover food and other expenses.

Job Details

• Package and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
• Complete required paperwork in accordance with appropriate regulations and customer policies, practices, and procedures.
• Load and secure materials and waste or unload truck at various customer sites or Clean Earth locations.
• Prepare and load truck with necessary supplies.
• Provide the highest level of customer service to assigned accounts daily while communicating any issues to the Manager or Dispatcher for resolution.
• Perform a documented pre-trip and post-trip check on assigned truck prior to leaving and closing each day.
• Plan schedule/route based on customer needs by reviewing daily paperwork (e.g. manifests, route sheets, etc.).
• Follow routing software route schedule.
• Follow all DOT guidelines while driving.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

MinimumQualifications

• At least 21 years of age
• High School diploma or GED
• Understand, read, and write English
• Able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time
• Basic knowledge of Windows-based software (Word, Excel,etc)
• Willing and able to wear company-provided personal protective equipment such as eye protection, foot protection, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator (as needed)
• Valid ClassB Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Hazmat endorsement
• Able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid TWIC Card
• At least 1 year of route driving experience
• Knowledge of hazardous materials and OSHA regulations
