Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Class B CDL Driver to deliver equipment safely and on time to customers in the Arkansas area. You’ll be a company ambassador, provide excellent service, and be home each night while supporting growth at the world’s largest equipment rental provider.

Responsibilities include loading and unloading, operating heavy trucks, keeping logs, performing pre-trip inspections, and recommending equipment needs. Eligible for strong benefits and career development.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with acceptable driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years DOT-regulated commercial driving experience.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs., meet safety requirements.
• Strong customer service, teamwork and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving.

• Adhere to safety regulations and complete logs and inspections.
• Maintain driver logs and pre-trip inspections.
• Suggest equipment and supplies to meet customer needs.

As a Class B CDL Driver at United Rentals, your goal will be to deliver equipment to our customers in a safe, timely, efficient and courteous manner. What you'll do:

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers
• Operate heavy equipment such as semi-trucks and trailers (“rollbacks” or “dove tails”) consistent with DOT classification CDL-B
• Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Maintain driver’s logs and complete pre-trip inspections
• Suggest equipment and supplies to meet customers’ other needs
• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

• Valid Class B CDL with acceptable driving record
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures
• Diligent attention to safety
