AMERICAN WELDING & GAS, INC. in Flippin, AR is hiring a CDL HazMat Driver to safely load, transport, and deliver gas and liquid cylinders and other supplies to customers and AWG branches.

The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and adherence to DOT and OSHA rules, with on-the-job training, career growth, and comprehensive benefits. Evening travel is limited to home nights, with no sleeper cabs and weekends adjustments where needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL is required.
• HazMat and Tanker Endorsements - HazMat endorsement not required to apply but must be obtained prior to employment.
• Clean driving record for 3+ years.
• Able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Able to move heavy cylinders and lift 50–75 pounds frequently; maneuver 100+ pound cylinders.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles safely and courteously at all times.
• Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Read and follow SOPs.
• Load, unload, move and store cylinders safely.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete safety checklist.
• Ensure accuracy of paperwork including shipping papers and delivery tickets.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Attend driver safety meetings as required.

An AWG CDL HazMat Driver is primarily responsible for the safe loading, transportation, and delivery of gas and liquid cylinders and other hard good supplies to customers and other AWG branches. AWG Drivers must always practice safety and provide outstanding customer service. We take great pride in our high standards and require the same from our elite drivers.

JOB DUTIES:

• Operate vehicles in a safe, courteous manner at all times.
• Maintain knowledge of and comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Read, understand, and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
• Load, unload, move and store empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections and complete safety checklist.
• Ensure the appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle.
• Attend driver safety meetings as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Drivers' License.
• HazMat and Tanker Endorsements - (HazMat Endorsement is not required to apply but must be obtained prior to employment.
• Clean commercial driving record - minimum 3+ years.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.).
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
• Successful completion of a company administered road test.
