Job summary

Meadow Gold Dairy is seeking a dependable CDL-B Relief Delivery Driver to operate a straight truck and safely unload/deliver dairy products to schools, grocers, and care facilities. You will build relationships with customers and ensure deliveries are completed on schedule with manual unloading when required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience driving a straight truck or pup truck, within the last 5 years preferred.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Must meet DFA requirements for Motor Vehicle Records.
• Must meet all DOT requirements.
• Certification and/or License - valid Class B/Class B with Air Brake CDL.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules, regulations and policies.
• Deliver pre-ordered or unscheduled products to customers according to route schedule and expectations.
• Follow designated routes and schedules unless directed by supervisory personnel.
• Report delivery delays to management.
• Load and unload product as required at designated stops.
• Provide merchandising support based on customer requirements.
• Maintain good relations with customers and report problems.
• Ensure proper maintenance on assigned vehicles and keep them clean.
• Complete daily paperwork, DOT and customer paperwork, and trip records.
• Ensure route inventory levels meet customer demands and document freight condition.
