Job summary

Herr Foods Inc. is seeking a 1st Shift Weekend Yard Truck Driver in Nottingham, PA. The role is full-time, onsite with Friday–Sunday schedule and a 3:30am–3:30pm shift. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401k with match, and paid time off.

On-site health clinic and other programs supported. Background check and pre-employment drug screen required. Typical responsibilities include yard truck maintenance, trailer hookups, inspections, load security, ERP data entry, and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• Class A CDL license required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in wet/humid conditions; extreme cold and heat.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic with various units.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of yard trucks.
• Hook and un-hook trailers and inspect trailers; report issues to supervisor.
• Move and back trailers into loading docks.
• Complete an equipment inspection report.
• Follow all safety guidelines per code of conduct.
• Move trailers between plant warehouse and Nottingham branch warehouse.
• Ensure loads are secure during movement and at dock.
• Assist with loading/unloading trailers and securing doors.
