Job summary

Universal Logistics in Davison, MI is hiring full-time yard switchers to support daily trailer operations and ensure efficient yard traffic flow.

Candidates must hold a CDL-A, have at least 6 months of tractor-trailer experience, and maintain clean driving history. Shifts include 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams with 40 hours weekly and overtime as needed. Offering $31.50 per hour with benefits after 90 days, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid holidays and time off.

Qualifications

• CDL-A required.
• Minimum 6 months tractor-trailer experience.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No felonies or DUI/OWI in the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform trailer switches according to schedule
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Check trailer numbers and verify documentation
• Report equipment damage or safety issues
• Maintain yard organization and traffic flow
• Communicate with warehouse staff and dispatch
• Follow all DOT and company safety policies
