Job summary

Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. is seeking a 1st shift CDL driver in Madison Heights, MI. You will move and position trailers, coordinate movements, and perform pre-trip inspections in a safe, collaborative yard environment.

Starting pay is $26.00 per hour with a consistent weekday schedule, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed. Must have Class A CDL, clean driving record, DOT medical card, and pass a DOT drug screen.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL required.
• 6 months of tractor-trailer experience.
• Current DOT Medical Card (minimum 1-year validity).
• Clean driving record with no DUI/OWI in the last 5 years.
• Pass DOT drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Move and position trailers within the yard.
• Coordinate trailer movements to meet operational needs.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections as required.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and management.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
