Job summary

Lassonde Pappas & Co., Inc. in Hendersonville, NC is hiring a Yard Jockey (CDL Class A) for early shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The role supports operations in an active trailer yard and includes operating a spotter truck under supervision in the Hendersonville location.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and at least one year of yard jockey experience; preferred are experience in food/beverage or manufacturing environments, strong communication, and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Confirm safe operational condition of vehicles and equipment before and after use.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment pass seal inspections.
• Coordinate with dispatch and warehouse staff on movement and sequencing.
• Safely operate material handling equipment to load/unload and secure trailers.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and yard accuracy through daily audits.
• Adhere to food safety, quality, and SQF requirements; report issues.
