Job description

Large distribution companies are seeking excellent CDL A drivers with customer service and route delivery experience.

Reverse vending systems provide an efficient way for the industry, system owners, retailers, and consumers to recycle and contribute to a more sustainable planet.

Role: CDL A Driver

Shift: 06:00 a.m. to completion, Monday through Friday

Compensation: $24.00 per hour, plus substantial overtime (average weekly salary with overtime: $1680.00)

Location: The Bronx, a vibrant borough of New York City, renowned for its rich culture and history.

Responsibilities:

  1. Operate the vehicle safely and efficiently, adhering to OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act), DOT (Department of Transportation), and all local, state, and federal laws.
  2. Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle and perform document checks using the standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report).
  3. Immediately report any unsafe situations, service-related issues, incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage to the Route Manager or Dispatch.
  4. Inform the Route Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions, such as closed or impassable streets or alleyways, receptacles too heavy to service, or potential safety hazards.
  5. Communicate customer requests to the Dispatch or Route Manager.
  6. Completely empty all receptacles and leave the customer’s location clean and free of debris.
  7. Adhere to route assignments as directed and complete end-of-day documentation and check-out procedures.
