Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Cedar Falls, IA. The role offers weekly guaranteed pay of $1,500, hourly pay of $33, and a typical 40+ hour week.

The position includes per diem, sign-on bonuses at 30 and 90 days, paid training, and 24/7 roadside maintenance on trucks 36 months or newer. Benefits begin after 30 days and include medical, dental, and vision coverage, 80 hours PTO in year one, uniforms and boot allowance, 401(k) with company match at 1 year, maternity leave

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor-vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Minimum Class A experience: 9 months within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards and maintain accurate records and logs
• Load and unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
