Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is hiring a Truck Driver to transport live poultry from growers to processing facilities or poultry feed to/from growers. You will follow DOT rules, maintain logs, perform pre-trip inspections, and keep the truck clean and secure.

The job requires 21+ with a valid Class A CDL and the ability to work unsupervised in a strict safety environment. Experience with live poultry driving is preferred, and you will operate in a physically demanding rural/outside environment,

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class A CDL with at least 1 year driving experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Knowledge of DOT, state and federal laws.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Department of Transportation regulations.
• Perform and document pre-trip inspection (tires, oil, fuel, lights, brakes, hoses).
• Assist with loading and unloading trailer as necessary.
• Ensure secure load before movement.
• Maintain proper documentation (equipment, time, trips, weight).
• Clean and wash truck as necessary.
• Report truck and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Comply with DOT safety rules and company policies, and laws/regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.
