Orientation & Training

Orientation lasts two weeks at a training facility in Des Moines, Iowa or Columbia, South Carolina, followed by five weeks over-the-road (OTR) with a Driver Trainer. Home time is prioritized, and efforts are made to pair you with a trainer living within 150 miles of your home.

• The first 7 days include classroom instruction and load securement training.
• The remaining 5 days focus on equipment familiarization.

During orientation and training, apprentice drivers are paid $650 per week.
