Job summary

NIS Express in Slidell, LA seeks motivated individuals with a CDL-A to start a full-time driving career. No road experience required—just your CDL and the drive to succeed as you join a trainer-led program.

Training lasts 3 to 5 weeks with a single trainer, then solo routes on regional lanes east of I-35. You'll be paid weekly from the start, with benefits including life insurance, a 401(k) plan, holidays, PTO and rider options.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• 21 years of age or older.
• 120+ hours completed at an accredited CDL program.
• Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class A tractor-trailer in full compliance with DOT regulations.
• Perform accurate ELD logs, DVIRs, and trip documentation daily.
• Complete pre/post-trip inspections and vehicle checks.
• Maintain professional communication with dispatch and customers at all times.
• Operate safely with no-touch freight and ensure on-time deliveries.
