Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a Truck Driver CDL A in Hampton to safely transport donated goods and designated items. You will perform pre-trip inspections, adhere to DOT policies, and ensure loads are secured and delivered accurately.

The role requires CDL-A, a valid license, and a background check, with at least 1 year of verifiable CDL-A experience and ability to drive a manual transmission. Evening/weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; combination of education and work experience considered.
• 1 year experience in a related field required.
• CDL-A required; valid state driver’s license, insurance and satisfactory driving record required.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Minimum 1 year verifiable accident-free CDL-A driving experience required.
• Ability to proficiently drive a manual transmission truck.

Responsabilités

• Completes pre-trip inspections and reports issues to management.
• Follows DOT and organizational safety regulations.
• Ensures paperwork and updates are communicated to the Dispatcher.
• Loads are secured and delivered to the correct destination per route assignments.
• Works independently without close supervision.
• Provides outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.
