Job summary

R+L Carriers in Odessa, TX is hiring CDL A City P&D Drivers for full-time, Monday through Friday with varying shifts. Drivers are home every day and handle city deliveries and pickups, returning to the terminal daily using scanning devices and engaging with customers.

Applicants must have a CDL Class A, 1 year verifiable driving in the last 3 years, a clean MVR/PSP, and must pass DOT physical, drug screen, and road test. Starting pay is $35.86 per hour with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• 1 yr. combined verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years.
• Clean driving record / MVR and PSP with no major violations and <=3 moving violations in past 3 years.
• Age 23, 21 if FMCSA military to civilian transition completed.
• Must pass pre-employment DOT Physical and drug screen.
• Must pass a successful road test.
• Must be able to bend, lift and stoop as needed.
• Must be dependable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pickup freight within the city and return to the terminal daily.
• Perform multiple daily stops and work with scanning equipment.
• Interact with customers during deliveries and handle potential liftgate deliveries with an electric pallet jack.

R+L Carriers has immediate opportunities for CDL A City P&D Drivers at our Odessa, TX Service Center. As a City P&D Driver you will be responsible for city delivery and pickup of freight and returning to the terminal daily. This includes multiple stops per working day, working with scanning equipment, working directly with customers, and completing potential liftgate deliveries using an electric pallet jack.

Requirements

• CDL Class A
• 1 yr. combined verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years
• Good driving record / MVR and PSP, with no commercial serious violations and no more than 3 moving violations total within the past 3 years.
• Age 23, 21 if successfully met the FMCSA specs to transition from military to civilian CDL
• Must be able to operate equipment safely at all times
• Must be able to pass pre-employment DOT Physical and drug screen
• Must be able to complete a successful road test
• Must be able to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty
• Must be dependable

Preferred

• Drivers with Doubles/Triples, Tanker, and Haz-mat CDL endorsements
• Experienced hauling Haz-mat
• Local delivery experience
• LTL experience
• Electric pallet jack experience
