Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking a licensed CDL A driver to operate a tractor/trailer and transport goods to and from our retail stores and distribution facilities. You will follow DOT rules, monitor loading, and coordinate with Dispatch to maintain delivery schedules.

Essentials include passing pre/post inspections, maintaining accurate logs, and achieving safety and efficiency in daily routes, including nights and weekends as needed. High school diploma or GED plus CDL A is required.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED required; two or more years of related experience preferred
• Completion of vocational or technical school is a plus
• Minimum age 25 years
• Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
• Food Handler certification required

Responsibilities

• Transports inbound and outbound freight to retail stores and distribution facilities.
• Complies with DOT rules and regulations at all times.
• Monitors loading/unloading of pallets; ensures proper count and safety.
• Communicates with Dispatch for delivery schedule changes.
• Completes pre- and post-inspections of tractor and trailer and logs reports.
