Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona is hiring a vehicle operator in Flagstaff, AZ to pick up, transport, and deliver donated goods. You will safely drive a CDL-equipped vehicle, follow safety policies, and provide high-level service to donors and GCNA staff.

Requirements include 2+ years CDL driving, clean MVR, valid AZ CDL (Class A or B), DOT certification, Medical Examiner's Certificate, English proficiency, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of CDL driving experience.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• High School education or equivalent.
• Able to read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Must hold valid AZ Class A or B CDL, DOT certification, clean MVR with no DUIs and a Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Must pass background check and drug screen where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a CDL-equipped vehicle to collect, transport and deliver donated goods.
• Provide courteous, responsive service to donors and GCNA departments.
• Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues.
• Follow all safety policies and wear required PPE at all times.
• Complete paperwork accurately and meet daily workload targets; overtime may be required.
• Unload items and ensure proper handling and documentation.

Position Description:

Responsible for safely operating a vehicle to pick up, transport and/or deliver donated goods for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities. Must have strong adherence to all safety policies and wearing all required personal protective equipment at all times. Responsible for providing a high level of customer service to donors and other GCNA departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely operates a vehicle to collect, transport and/or deliver donations, processed merchandise and other materials, as directed.
• Acts courteously, handles customer concerns, and resolves and/or escalates when necessary.
• Follows all established policies, procedures and local, county, state and federal laws.
• Performs daily vehicle maintenance checks.
• Ensures daily work requirements are met, maintaining quality and quantity performance. Processes and submits paperwork as directed and reviews reporting.
• May be required to work overtime to complete assigned tasks.
• Responsible for following and ensuring all safety rules are complied with and appropriate safety equipment is used. Immediately takes action and/or reports any unsafe or potential hazards.
• Unloads vehicles and moves items as required.
• Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.

• Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

• High School education or equivalent
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience operating CDL vehicle
• Ability to use technology
• Ability to be trained and take direction
• Ability to speak, write, and read English proficiently
• Must have and maintain a valid Class A or Class B Arizona Commercial Drivers' License (CDL), DOT Certification, clean MVR with no DUIs and no reckless operation, as well as a Medical Examiner's Certificate
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position
