Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking an experienced CDL A Driver for a local operation, with overnight and long-haul routes possible. The role emphasizes safe, timely deliveries and strong customer service.

The ideal candidate will pass a stringent background check and drug test, have at least 2 years of CDL driving experience, and maintain detailed paperwork along with excellent communication with management and the fleet team.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a stringent background test.
• Ability to pass a drug test at time of hire and random throughout employment.
• Attention to detail and ability to fill out and turn in detailed paperwork.
• Must have at least minimum of 2 years CDL driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Transport merchandise to customer job sites.
• Inspect vehicles daily for mechanical items and safety issues.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules in a timely manner.
• Document and log work/rest periods and ability to keep track of time spent driving and retain fuel/miscellaneous receipts.
• Effectively communicate (cell, text, email) with management/team members, and fleet manager at all times.
• Comply with DOT driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Safely maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions.
• Report defects, accidents and violations.
• Moffett/forklift experience preferred.
