Job summary

Shambaugh & Son L.P. is seeking a skilled CDL Truck Driver to join our transportation team. You will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to designated destinations, ensuring timely delivery and upholding our reputation for reliability.

The role requires a Class A CDL, flatbed experience, and willingness to learn MHE used by the company, with overnight shifts 2–3 nights on average and a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy."

Qualifications

  • Class A CDL required.
  • One or more year(s) flatbed tractor‑trailer experience.
  • Must be able to learn to operate all MHE used by the company.
  • Availability for overnights 2‑3 nights average.
  • Clean driving record with no history of major accidents or traffic violations.
  • Ability to operate and maintain commercial vehicles safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for managing paperwork and logs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules.
  • Commitment to safety, both for oneself and others on the road.
  • Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate company owned and leased trucks to facilitate shipping and receiving operations.
  • Operate trucks for the delivery, pickup and relocation of construction materials and equipment.
  • Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs.
  • Safely haul material to our jobsites.
  • Maintain and protect all property entrusted to you in excellent condition.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.
  • Must operate and maintain company equipment in a safe manner at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.
