AmeriGas, the nation’s largest propane distributor, has immediate openings for safety-minded, customer-focused Transport Drivers at various locations nationwide.
Are you seeking an exciting career with a nationally recognized industry leader? AmeriGas Propane is looking for energetic, customer service-oriented individuals to join us as Transport Drivers.
Responsibilities:
As a Transport Driver, you will operate a tanker truck (11,400-gallon capacity) to pick up propane at supply points such as refineries, pipeline terminals, or storage facilities, and deliver it to AmeriGas facilities. You will make four to five pickups and deliveries daily, driving approximately 500 miles per day and working up to 14 hours. About 80% of your time will be spent driving or waiting in line at supply points. Duties include but are not limited to:
• Drive the tanker truck to pick up propane and deliver to AmeriGas facilities; loading or unloading takes approximately 45 minutes.
• Attach terminal hoses to truck connections for pumping propane.
• Unload the tanker using hoses stored on the truck, which come in two sizes: 20 feet long (3 inches diameter) and 19 feet long (1½ inches diameter).
• Perform twice daily truck inspections.
• Climb ladders at some facilities to check gauges on bulk tanks.

Requirements:
• 3 years of tractor-trailer experience with a minimum of 200,000 miles
• 1 year tanker experience within the last 3 years (preferred)
• Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements
• Eligible for a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC)
• No accidents in the past 3 years
• No more than one moving violation in the past 2 years
