AmeriGas Propane, Inc. is hiring Safety-minded Transport Drivers in the Pompano Beach area to operate tanker trucks delivering propane to AmeriGas facilities. The role emphasizes customer service, safety, and reliability in a nationwide propane distribution network.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drive tanker truck to load propane at refinery and deliver to AmeriGas facilities.
• Attach terminal hoses to pump propane into tanker.
• Unload propane using hoses of shown sizes from truck or filling ports.
• Perform twice-daily truck inspections.
• May climb ladders to check gauges at top of bulk tanks.

Are you looking for an exciting career with a nationally known company and industry leader? AmeriGas Propane, the largest distributor of propane in the United States, is searching for an energetic and customer service-oriented person to join us as a Transport Driver.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the tanker truck to pick up propane at the refinery and deliver to area AmeriGas facilities; approximately 45 minutes is required to load or unload the truck.
• Attach terminal hoses to the truck connections to pump propane into the tanker.
• Use permanent hoses attached to the filling ports or the hoses stored in the truck to unload the tanker. The hoses stored on the truck come in two sizes: 20 feet long, three inches in diameter; and 19 feet long, 1½ inches in diameter.
• Perform twice daily truck inspections.
• May climb ladders at some AmeriGas facilities to check gauges at the top of the bulk tanks.

Requirements:

• Eligible for a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC)
• No Accidents in the Previous 3 years
• No More Than One Moving Violation in the Previous 2 years

The pay for this position is $0.7383/mi with a flat on-duty-non-driving hourly wage of $24.87, depending on circumstances including an applicant's skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include eligibility to earn a performance-based bonus or commissions on completed sales depending on position.
