Job summary

US Foods is seeking Delivery Drivers in Jacksonville, FL to deliver meats, produce, frozen and dry goods to customer locations. You will start with training pay and then move to component pay, with a $2,500 retention bonus.

Routes are local; schedule Monday-Saturday, start 3:00 am to 6:00 am depending on route. Candidates must be 21+, hold CDL A with proper endorsements and be DOT qualified; minimum six months trucking experience or three months of foodservice delivery.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have valid CDL A issued by the state of residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualified.
• Minimum six months commercial truck driving experience or three months of foodservice or food and beverage truck delivery experience required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver orders to customers meeting scheduled delivery times and maintain productivity.
• Unload products with a hand truck and place items in customer storage area.
• Able to perform repeated, manual heavy lifting up to 80 pounds.
• Verify delivery of items with customers.
• Collect money (cash or checks) where needed.
• Make frequent stops during a work shift.

During the training period the driver will be paid an hourly rate of $25.65 plus time and one half for all hours worked over 40 hours in a workweek.
