Job summary

Inotiv is seeking a CDL A Transfer/Flex Driver to safely transport research products, animals, and related cargo between company facilities and customer locations. This on-the-road role offers flexible route coverage with potential overnight travel, and guarantees 40 hours per week.

Role emphasizes DOT compliance, safety, and professional conduct while supporting customer satisfaction and operational efficiency across diverse routes and sites.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 5 years of CDL driving experience preferred.
• Ability to meet DOT hours-of-service requirements and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles over 26,000 lb GVW per DOT regulations.
• Shift includes Sundays to Saturdays with possible overnights and rotating routes.
• Provide transfer and flexible route coverage for scheduled routes and absences.
• Pickup, verify, transport, and deliver loads on time.
• Complete transportation, inspection, and regulatory paperwork.
• Safely load/unload cargo including touch freight as needed.
• Drive in varied road, traffic, and weather conditions.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance.
