Job summary

Inotiv seeks a CDL A Transfer/Flex Driver to safely transport research products, animals, and related cargo between company facilities and customer sites. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a Sunday-Saturday shift and potential overnights.

You will adhere to DOT regulations, perform pre-trip inspections, and provide professional service while supporting route coverage and flexibility. Must travel to other sites and follow PPE guidelines as applicable.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 5 years of CDL driving experience preferred.
• Motor vehicle driving record check completed.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly.
• Ability to drive extended periods and overnight travel as needed.
• Strong attention to detail, safety, and compliance.
• Clear communication in English; map reading and routing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles over 26,000 pounds per DOT regulations.
• Provide transfer and flexible route coverage for scheduled routes and special runs.
• Deliver and pick up loads accurately and on schedule.
• Complete transportation, inspection, delivery, and regulatory paperwork.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and basic maintenance as appropriate.
• Drive in varying road, weather, and traffic conditions; use GPS routing.
• Provide professional customer service at locations and ensure safety with animals when applicable.
• Be willing to travel to other sites across the country for weeks at a time.
