Job summary

American Driver in Arabi/New Orleans area is recruiting CDL-A trainees directly out of CDL school. Our Paid Mentor Program bridges the gap between school and a confident solo career with guaranteed weekly pay during training.

Once you complete the program, you progress to full solo pay rates. Benefits begin after 30 days, including medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, a 401(k) match, ESPP, PTO from day one, and life/disability insurance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL.
• Graduated from an accredited CDL school (120+ hours) or have under 6 months of recent OTR experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Able to pass a standard background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Learn real-world OTR driving with an experienced mentor.
• Transition directly to full solo pay rates after completing the program.
• No heavy freight loading requirement during training and afterwards.
