Job summary

Waste Management in the United States seeks a CDL‑A truck driver to safely operate a tractor‑trailer on designated routes. You will perform routine inspections, complete route paperwork, and coordinate with Operations to optimize efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, and complete records.
• Must successfully complete pre‑employment screening, including drug screen and physical.
• CDL Class A license required.
• 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or 1 year military driving within the last 7 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates a tractor-trailer or straight truck on designated routes in compliance with OSHA/DOT and company requirements.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections and notes issues for repair.
• Reports unsafe conditions or service issues to Operations Manager/Dispatch.
• Communicates with Operations Manager and Dispatch for route changes or service adjustments.
• Keeps customer locations clean and ensures containers are placed without blocking driveways or traffic.
• Completes route documentation and follows daily route assignments.
