Job summary

Irving Oil is seeking a Tractor Trailer Driver in Concord, NH to deliver petroleum products to commercial and retail sites. You will complete pre-trip/post-trip inspections, plan routes with Dispatch, and ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years Commercial Transportation experience.
• Experience with liquid loads is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Irving Oil products to designated locations within the specified geographic area.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
• Plan daily routes with Dispatch to optimize efficiency.
• Safely load/unload products following safety policies.
• Monitor truck/switch conditions and report hazards to the Manager.
• Complete daily shift reports and maintain paperwork accurately.
• Keep vehicle clean inside and out.

Job description

As a Tractor Trailer Driver, you will be responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of petroleum products to commercial and retail sites. Your goal will be to provide a meaningful and essential service to our customers in a safety focused environment. Your success will depend on your ability to adhere to daily routes, load the fuel truck, and complete pre-and post-trip inspections while maintaining all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and procedures.

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver Irving Oil Products to various locations within the required geographical locations
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is performing to the required standards
• Review and plan daily routes while collaborating with our Dispatch team to improve the efficiency of routes
• Safely load and unload products from storage facilities while adhering to all safety policies and procedures
• Continuously evaluate and make safety decisions on trucks, conditions, products, sites, deliveries, leaks, and any other situations in which the driver feels there may be a safety issue. Report all hazards or unsafe situations that cannot be corrected on their own to the Manager
• Complete daily shift reports and all required paperwork with accurate information
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle – inside & outside

Your Skills:

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to work 12-hour schedules

Your Experience:

• A valid CDL Class A Driver’s License with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements
• High school diploma or G.E.D. required
• Minimum 2 years Commercial Transportation experience
• Previous experience with liquid loads is considered an asset

The expected hourly range for this position is $32.50-$35.50. Placement within range will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, and skills.
