Job summary

Irving Oil Ltd. is seeking a local Tractor Trailer Driver to deliver petroleum products in the Portland, ME area. You will complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, plan routes with Dispatch, and ensure safe loading/unloading while adhering to safety policies.

Candidates must have a CDL Class A with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements, at least 2 years of commercial transportation experience, and a high school diploma or GED. A $5,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits are offered.

• Minimum 2 years Commercial Transportation experience.
• Experience with liquid loads is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Irving Oil products to locations within the specified geographic areas.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Review and plan daily routes with Dispatch to improve efficiency.
• Safely load and unload products from storage facilities.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and report hazards promptly.

Your goal will be to provide a meaningful and essential service to our customers in a safety focused environment. Report all hazards or unsafe situations that cannot be corrected on their own to the Manager* Complete daily shift reports and all required paperwork with accurate information* Maintain a clean and organized vehicle – inside & outside*Your Skills:** Strong communication and collaboration skills* Basic mathematical skills* Safety-focused with strong technical skills* Ability to work 12-hour schedules*Your Experience:** A valid CDL Class A Driver’s License with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements* High school diploma or G.E.D. required* Minimum 2 years Commercial Transportation experience* Previous experience with liquid loads is considered an assetThe expected hourly range for this position is $32.50-$35.50.
