Job Responsibilities

• Operate class A commercial vehicles, including electric and autonomous vehicles, safely and in compliance with DOT rules
• Drive vehicles on designated routes and test tracks
• Report any functional issues encountered during driving
• Evaluate vehicle features and systems, and provide feedback
• Complete documentation for issues and testing results
• Hook and un-hook trailers as needed
• Log work, rest periods, and miles using electronic logging devices (ELD)
• Retain fuel, toll, and hotel receipts
• Follow all DOT regulations, including hours of service and vehicle inspections
• Report defects, accidents, or violations immediately

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 3 years of recent, verifiable CDL A driving experience
• Ability to pass DOT physical and drug tests
• Clean driving record
• Flexible scheduling, including weekends and weekdays
• Strong communication skills for documentation
• Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations, including HOS
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
