Job summary

Lhoist North America in Texas is seeking a professional Class A CDL driver to load and deliver lime slurry to customers. You will perform pre/post inspections and operate tanker-equipped trucks while maintaining safety and DOT compliance.

This role requires traveling to remote job sites, weekends/holidays as needed, and training local contractors on safe handling of quicklime slurry. Competitive hourly pay, benefits, and dedicated fleet support accompany your responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement (N).
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations, fleet equipment, and fleet mechanical skills.
• Ability to maneuver fleet equipment in heavy city traffic and remote job locations.
• Maintain concentration, alertness and attention to detail for an extended period.
• Ability to resolve issues with limited supervision.
• Occasional shift work, including some weekends and holidays.
• Required to travel for out of town jobs on a rotation basis as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver slurry shipments in a safe and timely manner.
• Operation and Maintenance of Equipment: Read and interpret various gauges and instruments used in loading and handling equipment.
• Analyze and evaluate work conditions and make adjustments to equipment as necessary.
• Perform equipment inspections in accordance with DOT requirements.
• Make minor repairs to equipment as needed to maintain fleet operation.
• Ensure the DOT, safety, TCEQ, and environmental regulations are followed.
• Educate and train the local contractors in the safe handling of quicklime/ slurry, and cover emergency medical procedures in case of accidental exposure.
