Job summary

Van Eerden Foodservice in Fort Wayne, IN is hiring a Shuttle Driver for overnight routes. The role shuttles double trailers from our Fort Wayne distribution center to Albion/Jackson and back.

You will perform daily DOT inspections, comply with FMCSA hours of service, and operate safely under company policy. Requires CDL-A with Doubles Endorsement, clean driving record, and ability to pass DOT drug screen and medical card.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age
• 1 year of experience preferred or CDL-A newly obtained
• Meet all DOT requirements for driving
• Doubles Endorsement is required
• Clean Driving Record
• Pass DOT Physical, Drug Screen and Drug Clearinghouse
• Background check free from felonies

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, accurate, timely deliveries of double trailers to Fort Wayne Distribution Center and to Albion/Jackson drop yard
• Perform daily DOT inspection of equipment
• Comply with FMCSA rules and hours of service
• Operate within company safety practices
• Other duties as assigned by management

Van Eerden Foodservice has a need for a Shuttle Driver This role shuttles loaded double trailers from our Fort Wayne Indiana Distribution center to our Albion/ Jackson Michigan drop yard, then back to Fort Wayne.

Schedule

Night Shift that Departs from Fort Wayne Indiana. Sunday- Thursday- Start time 6:30pm, typical end time 5:00am

About the Job:

• Ensure safe, accurate, timely and efficient deliveries of double trailers to and from Fort Wayne Distribution Center to Albion/ Jackson drop yard.
• Perform daily DOT inspection of equipment.
• Comply with FMCSA rules and regulations for DOT hours of service and compliance.
• Perform all work within Company safety practices.

Requirements

• 21+ years of age.
• 1 year of experience preferred. May consider candidates with new obtained CDL-A License.
• Meet all DOT requirements for driving, including possession of a valid CDL-A license.
• Doubles Endorsement is required.
• Clean Driving Record.
• Must pass a DOT Physical, Drug Screen and Drug Clearinghouse.
• Background check free from felonies.
