Job summary

US Foods in Syracuse, NY is seeking a CDL A Shuttle Driver to join our logistics team. Drive tractor trailers with meats, produce and groceries to and from remote dispatch sites on a Sunday-Thursday night shift (4pm–6pm).

Starting pay is $33.52 per hour with overtime after 8 hours, plus benefits from day one. A valid CDL Class A and DOT compliance are required; safety, reliability and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must hold a valid CDL Class A with required endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• 6 months of commercial driving experience required; doubles endorsement preferred.
• Must be comfortable working overnight.
• Must read and communicate in English for reports and road signs.

Responsibilities

• Safe driving: transport products between dispatch sites safely and efficiently.
• Team up for backhauls or deliveries as needed.
• Equipment inspection before and after trips to ensure safety.
• Inspect and verify freight and trailer temperatures; ensure accuracy.
• Adhere to management directions and perform other duties as assigned.
