Job summary

McLane is seeking a Shuttle Driver to deliver full trailers to domiciles and return empties to the distribution center. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and timely home time, with industry-leading pay and comprehensive benefits.

The position offers a 5-day work week with Tuesdays and Saturdays off, day-1 medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, and company-paid life insurance, plus a 401(k) profit-sharing plan after 90 days and additional programs such as tuition reimbursement and more.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor trailer driving experience.
• Meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for safety and task performance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the rig for defects pre- and post-trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Ensure that product is secured inside the trailer for undamaged transport.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations.
• May at times perform line haul and/or backhaul.
• Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products.
• Other duties as assigned.

This Shuttle Driver is responsible for the delivery of full trailers to the Domicile and taking empty trailers back to the Distribution Center.

Benefits You Can Count On

• Pay Rate: Shuttle Drivers average $80,000 to $85,000 per year.
• Sign-on bonus: Up to $5,000, depending on experience.
• Run 5 days per week. Off on Tuesdays & Saturdays

What You'll Do As a Shuttle Driver

Qualifications You'll Bring As a Shuttle Driver Teammate

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor trailer driving experience
• Meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
