Harbor Wholesale seeks a Shuttle Driver based in Sacramento. You will haul trailers, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and ensure safe operation of Class A vehicles per DOT rules. The role covers pulling empties to Modesto DC, hooking loaded units, and returning to the starting point.

• Knowledge of transportation principles and methods for transporting goods by commercial vehicle.
• Skilled in using time efficiently and attention to detail.
• Ability to physically complete physical requirements of job.
• Ability to drive commercial vehicles (semi-trucks and trailers up 53 feet, solo trucks, vans, etc.), use a hand truck, use a pallet jack, walk boards, stay bars, etc.

• Drivers will conduct themselves with professionalism as Class A CDL Drivers using safe driving techniques, defensive driving, and abiding by all of the DOT mandated regulations which may apply to their day to day work

Overview

Position Title: Shuttle Driver - Sacramento Based

Pay: $29.00 - $31.00/hr. + full Benefits + up to $1000 quarterly bonus.

Shift Schedule:Sunday - Wednesday on a 7:00PM-5:30AM basis, avg 40-50 hours

General Summary: The purpose of the Shuttle Driver position is to haul empty trailers to the Modesto Distribution Center, unhook empty trailers, hook up loaded trailers, and then haul the trailers back to where the shift started.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Acceptable MVR record

One to three years commercial driving experience, grocery distributing experience a plus

License and Certifications:

Class A CDL License required and must have a doubles endorsement

Current medical certificate card
