Job summary

Superior Beverage Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport products between our Solon, OH facility and drop lots in Columbiana, Lorain, or Canton. You will inspect vehicles, ensure safe loading, and meet time constraints while adhering to DOT guidelines and maintaining accurate paperwork.

The role requires a Class A CDL, ability to drive long distances, and physical endurance to handle keg and case weights in various weather conditions; benefits accompany a comprehensive package.

Qualifications

• Previous experience preferred.
• Basic math skills.
• Problem solving and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of all DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and guidelines.
• Ability to operate company trucks, forklifts and equipment.
• Ability to drive long distances and for extended periods of time.
• Effective communication skills.
• Clean driving record.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Class A Commercial Drivers License Required, Doubles Endorsement Preferred.
• Current Drivers Medical Card.
• Ability to repeatedly maneuver 168 pound kegs and 35 pound cases as required.
• Perform duties in various outdoor weather conditions.
• Capable of performing physical activity that requires considerable use of arms and legs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles daily for mechanical problems and maintain cab/trailer cleanliness.
• Complete DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections and submit daily paperwork.
• Picks up and delivers loads within time constraints.
• Ensure product is loaded accurately within weight restrictions.
• Work with shift manager on trailer spotting and load assignment.
• Operate equipment safely under DOT guidelines.

Description Shuttle Drivers utilize company trucks to safely transport product to and from drop lots and other company locations in a timely manner. These drivers are responsible for taking fully loaded trailers to and from our drop lot locations (Columbiana, Lorain, or Canton) and hauling back to our main facility in Solon, OH.

Shuttle Driver Duties

• Inspect assigned vehicles daily for mechanical problems. Ensures cleanliness of cab and trailer. Completes D.O.T. regulated pre-trip/post-trip inspections and submits documentation daily.
• Picks up and delivers loads within time constraints.
• Ensures product is loaded accurately and within weight restrictions.
• Completes and submits all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Works with the shift manager in spotting trailers and ensuring proper assignment of loads to each trailer.
• Operates equipment within D.O.T. guidelines and in a safe and efficient manner. Complies with all D.O.T. regulations.
